Bad setup
Burnt Residue ─┐
├──→ Kinetic Press ✕
Gold ──────────┘
The Kinetic Press processes Burnt Residue during early factory progression. It works best with a clean material path and can stop processing when Gold or other unwanted material reaches the Press.
Quick answer
If your Kinetic Press is clogged, check for Gold first. Filter Gold out before the Press, make sure Burnt Residue has a clear drop path, and keep the output area free so material does not back up.
The Kinetic Press needs Burnt Residue to reach the Press through a clear drop path. The important part is not just placing the machine — you also need to control which materials are allowed into that path.
Processing
Keep out of Press path
The Press needs a clean Burnt Residue path. Gold entering the same space is one of the most common causes of a clog.
01
Keep Burnt Residue on its own input path before it reaches the Press.
↓
02
Use a Filter so Gold does not enter the same drop path.
↓
03
Burnt Residue needs a clean route into the Press without other materials blocking the space.
↓
04
Leave enough room for the Press area to keep processing without backing up.
Recommended Kinetic Press layout
Mixed material
↓Gold line
Gold should not share the Burnt Residue path into the Kinetic Press. If Gold reaches the Press area, it can occupy the space Burnt Residue needs and stop the setup from processing correctly.

Cause
Gold is reaching the same path as Burnt Residue.
Fix
Check
Prevent problems before they happen.
The most common clogging problem.
Mixed material can block the path.
Correct material still fails if it cannot reach the Press.
Processed material needs somewhere to go.
Keep Burnt Residue processing reliably to move into the Flower stage.
View full progression →Gold is sharing the Burnt Residue drop path, or processed Gold has backed up into the Press area. Filter Gold away from the input, clear the blocked path, and leave space for output to leave.
The drop path is blocked, another material is occupying the space above the Press, or the Press is not sitting under the intended route. Clear the path and confirm Burnt Residue can fall into the machine.
A Filter is strongly recommended when Gold and Burnt Residue come from the same upstream production. Separating Gold before the Press prevents one of the most common causes of clogging.
If it worked before, the machine is usually not the first thing to check. Look for Gold entering the line, output backing up, a blocked drop path, or mixed material reaching the Press.
