How Shakers produce Gold
Process Wet Sand with Shakers. Gold falls through the bottom; Residue stays on top and is pushed downstream.
1 Wet Sand
→ 1 Residue guaranteed
→ 25% chance of 1 Gold

Reliable Shaker staircase
A downward staircase keeps the Wet Sand feed as a thinner layer while Residue moves downstream. This is a reliable pattern, not a claim that it is the highest-throughput setup.

What to do with Residue
Residue is not waste. Burn it for a chance to create Burnt Residue, then send that Burnt Residue through a Kinetic Press for another Gold plus a Seed.

How to use the Kinetic Press for Gold
1 Burnt Residue through a Kinetic Press produces 1 Gold + 1 Seed, if it falls from enough height.

Burnt Residue must fall far enough before it hits the Press. The documented requirement is at least 25 blocks.
Why Gold clogs the Kinetic Press
Only qualifying Burnt Residue can pass the Press. Other material that lands on top blocks later input.

Solid Gold vs Liquid Gold
Should you turn Gold into Liquid Gold? The point is storage compression, not producing more Gold.
Gold
1 pixel = 1 Gold
Liquid Gold
1 pixel = 2 Gold value
Best for compact storage
Solid Gold and Liquid Gold both count as currency in Collectors. This page does not convert Gold into an exact Liquid Gold amount.
How to get renewable Sand
If you have mined the map Sand, open your toolbox, place the secured Stratacore, and excavate it as a renewable Sand source.

Shakers aren't producing much Gold
This may be normal
Shaker Gold is probabilistic. Each Wet Sand guarantees 1 Residue and has about a 25% chance of 1 Gold. Do not judge the full factory only by direct Shaker Gold.
Continue processing Residue → Press → Seed → Flower.

CollectorWhat is Gold used for?
Gold is Research currency once it sits in Collectors. Plan a target here, then open the Research Planner for the full unlock path.
What are you saving Gold for?
Plan Research →Common Gold questions
How do you make Gold in Sandustry?+−
Wet Sand through a Shaker, then burn Residue for Burnt Residue, drop that into a Kinetic Press, and farm Seeds into Flowers. Each stage recovers more Gold from the original Sand.
How much Gold do you get from Sand?+−
Fully processing Sand through Shaker, Burnt Residue/Kinetic Press and the Seed/Flower stage gives an expected overall yield of roughly 2 Sand → 3 Gold. Individual batches vary because early stages include probabilistic conversions.
What should I do with Residue?+−
Burn it. About 25% becomes Burnt Residue, which a Kinetic Press turns into another Gold plus a Seed.
Why does Gold clog my Kinetic Press?+−
Gold that falls onto the Press blocks later Burnt Residue. Filter Gold off the Press path and keep a clean 25+ block drop.
How do I get infinite / renewable Sand?+−
After the Stratacore is secured, excavate it for Sand. Digger Drones are slower and more automatic; Void Gun is faster and manual.
Does Gold have to be inside Collectors?+−
Yes. Gold only counts as spendable Research currency while it is stored in Collector blocks. Gold on the factory floor does not.
How do I get 1,000,000 Gold?+−
Hold 1,000,000 Gold in Collectors at once. Use the full Sand recovery chain, then farm renewable Stratacore Sand if the map is mined out.
